Jessica received a MS in Art Conservation, specializing in photographic materials and works on paper, from the Winterthur/University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation. She also holds a BA in Chemistry and Art Conservation from the University of Delaware. Her training included internships at the Canadian Conservation Institute, the National Gallery of Canada, Fotorestauratie C.C. von Waldthausen in the Netherlands, the Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology, and Harvard University’s Weissman Preservation Center.

Before founding Steel City Art Conservation, Jessica held the position of Associate Conservator for Photographs at the New York Public Library. While there, she participated in a number of collaborative research projects with curators in the Wallach Division of Art, Prints, and Photographs and research scientists at the Department of Scientific Research’s Network Initiative for Conservation Science at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Prior to that Jessica was Paper & Photograph Conservator at the Conservation Center for Art & Historic Artifacts, where she taught a number of workshops for the public and affiliated professionals on topics such as the care and handling of paper-based collections, photographic process identification, and disaster recovery.

Jessica is a Professional Associate of the American Institute for Conservation, and an active member of the Photographic Materials and Book and Paper specialty groups.
